A Bible Study that Encourages
Last year, I completed a Bible study on grace. It was the most detailed and exhaustive topical study I had ever completed from the Word of God. In the word of faith circles, I have seen different view points on the topic of grace. Some leaders present grace in a manner that negates the holiness that God desires from us and other leaders. After spending hundreds of hours looking into the topic of grace, I came up with a study that revealed what grace affords people. I determined that all of us have the same basic grace. I ended up using Eph. 2:8 as the main text for this facet of grace.
Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Through this study, it became clear to me that God has established certain types grace on ministers and ministries. Paul was graced to be an apostle, Timothy was graced to be a pastor, and Phillip was graced to be an evangelist. You can also see grace at work in different ministries. Not all ministries are meant to accomplish the same thing. God has designated a unique grace for ministries as well.
